🌈 Jason Torchinsky [They/Them] 🌈

President & Treasurer

Jason fell in love with West Coast Swing in 2022 at a local social while interning in Albuquerque, NM—and they’ve been hooked ever since. Back in Madison, WI, they poured their energy into organizing queer West Coast Swing socials through a queer graduate student group at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, helping create spaces where everyone could feel at home on the dance floor.

Jason is one of the founders of ABQueer WCS, and currently serves as our President, Treasurer, and Chair of the Event Planning and Organizing Committee. They travel across the country to compete and bring high-energy hype to every event they attend.

🦋 Sarah Olguin [She/Her] 🦋

Vice President

Sarah began West Coast Swing in 2024 and has been with ABQueer WCS since the very first event. She currently serves as the Vice President and is the Chair of the Advertising and PR commiette (AKA our social media queen). Sarah is a huge advocate for the LGBTQIA2S+ community and she is excited to help our community grow, dance, and be seen.

🍀 Emma Bizzell [She/Her] 🍀

Committee Member

Emma has had a love for dance since she was 12 years old, which was when she took her first ballet class. After years of being a competitive dancer, she decided to take a break from dance for a few years to focus on other things. In November of 2025, she tried West Coast Swing for the first time, and while she didn't have any experience with partner-style dance, she instantly fell in love with it. Since then, she has continued to get involved in the WCS community.

Emma is passionate about creating and fostering communities where everyone feels welcome and free to be themselves. She is excited to be able to build community in the dance world through her participation with ABQueer WCS..

🌸 Morgan Cole [She/They] 🌸

Committee Member

Morgan took a variety of dance classes while growing up, but it always took backstage to making others dance...until she encountered West Coast Swing at an ABQueer WCS social in December 2025 and immediately fell in love with it. Since then they've been going to as many WCS events as possible and reveling in every step, as well as the vibrant social landscape they've found through it. Morgan is excited to give back to this community that has made her feel so embraced and to share the magic of West Coast Swing so that others can find the same experience of learning and connection in a welcoming space.

🦒 Dalton Cole [He/Him] 🦒

Committee Member

Dalton began his West Coast Swing journey in September 2024 after setting a personal goal to learn how to dance. What started with East Coast Swing quickly turned into a love for West Coast Swing after trying it at Southwesties—and it’s been his dance of choice ever since. He especially enjoys the creativity of the dance and the ability to create something beautiful in partnership with others.

Dalton serves on both the Events Committee and the Advertising & PR Committee, and is also the web administrator for ABQueer WCS. He helps coordinate volunteers, plan events, and maintain the organization’s website.

Known for his energetic and goofy presence, Dalton loves hosting events and creating a welcoming, inclusive space where people can feel comfortable, connected, and excited to dance.
